The free original this grew from: posted free on the Japanese game jam site unityroom on December 24, 2023, for the Unity1Week jam's "send" theme, by creator AZ. Per its own page, it already carries the same premise this lineage grows from: you play a censor deciding whether letters may pass. That same unityroom page now carries its own update note, announcing the Steam commercial edition is on sale and linking straight to its store page, describing what that edition adds: nearly every letter renewed and more than doubled in number, letter content that shifts with your censorship decisions, a new magnifying-glass tool, and an expanded story with multiple endings. Your letter has been rejected. on Steam is not a new work borrowing that DNA from outside; it is the developer's own commercial expansion of this same free jam game.

Per Steam's own Japanese-language store text (translated here, since the store page carries no official English version at all), you are appointed a censor of the oppressive Grutzana People's Republic, reading letters passing between its citizens and a neighboring country and deciding, one at a time, whether to let each one through or destroy it. A girl chasing a dream of becoming a singer, someone worried about a friend across the border, a couple caught in a love triangle: whose future gets sealed, and in some cases the fate of the nation itself, comes down to your judgment, and some letters are disguised to slip past you, so you strike them with a lighter to reveal hidden text and check small print with a magnifying glass, watching for other tricks besides. Expanded by solo creator AZ., working under the one-person circle MONAZ. (also its own publisher), from a free Unity1Week jam original posted December 24, 2023, this commercial edition renews nearly every letter in the game, more than doubling their number, lets a letter's content shift depending on how you censored it, adds a new magnifying-glass tool, and expands the story across multiple endings. Released August 4, 2025, priced at ¥800, it is Positive at 100 percent over 20 reviews (20 positive, 0 negative per Steam's own review API), a paid title, not free, fully launched and not in Early Access, with Steam Achievements, no AI-generated assets, and per Steam's own content descriptors, nothing sexual (ids: General Mature Content only, notes citing alcohol, drugs, suicide, and strong language). It supports Japanese only, with no English-language text anywhere in the game or its store page, and, unsurprisingly, zero of its reviews are in English: the language itself is the wall keeping it from the West.
