This gem surfaces soon
We have it ready, but it is not unsealed yet. Come back when it opens.

A man who wasted his life gets a second chance at 18, and this time chooses a trade: the electrician's license exam. Five heroines teach the subjects, backed by 1,000 real past exam questions.
Per Steam's own listing, this is a study visual novel built to change what studying for a licensing exam feels like: a 45-year-old man whose life amounted to nothing wakes up back in an 18-year-old's classroom, gets a second chance, and this time chooses a trade, going after Japan's Type 2 Electrician License. Five heroines each teach a different subject area as the story unfolds, and the game backs that story with the actual content the real exam draws from: 1,000 official past exam questions with the developer's own detailed explanations, a CBT-format mock exam, 428 flashcards, and 38 short explainer videos. Developer and publisher are both credited simply as Tsumugi Games, whose Steam catalogue is just this title and its demo. One honest note up front: at the time of writing this had only just gone up for sale, with essentially no review history yet, well short of the review count this site normally waits for. We're covering it anyway, as an early bet, on the strength of the concept itself and a clean, single-title developer record. ¥1,980, not free, content descriptors completely empty. The store page carries its own AI Generated Content Disclosure covering some illustration, music, voice, and text material, all reviewed and adjusted by the developer; we're passing that on as-is. Japanese only, and no Western outlet has written about it yet, unsurprising for something this fresh.

01First, the one feeling
- Reading toward the next scene because you want to know what happens to Ricardo, sorry, to the 45-year-old-turned-18-year-old, and only noticing afterward that a wiring-diagram symbol just quietly lodged itself in your memory, is the entire pitch working exactly as designed.
- Having a heroine attached to each subject area turns 'I don't understand this section of the exam' into 'I haven't talked to this character enough yet,' which reframes a study weak point as a relationship to deepen rather than a wall to grind against.
- An offline assistant that searches verified material instead of generating an answer means the thing helping you study can't quietly make something up under exam pressure, which matters more here than in almost any other kind of game.
02Who this is for (and who it is not)
For you
- You want a genuinely novel concept: a real national licensing exam's actual past questions built into a story-driven study aid, not a generic edutainment reskin
- You want to be first: this just released, a single-title solo-adjacent developer, and we're covering it before any review track record exists at all
- You're studying for Japan's Type 2 Electrician License, or just curious what a dating-sim-shaped cram session for a real trade exam looks like
Not for you
- You want proof before you commit; there is essentially no review history yet, this is a bet on concept and developer signal, not on a track record
- You're not preparing for this specific Japanese exam and have no interest in the underlying subject matter; the story exists to teach the material, not around it

Denko Love: Starting from Zero as an Electrician Buried gem
Per Steam's own listing, this is a study visual novel built to change what studying for a licensing exam feels like: a 45-year-old man whose life amounted to nothing wakes up back in an 18-year-old's classroom, gets a second chance, and this time chooses a trade, going after Japan's Type 2 Electrician License. Five heroines each teach a different subject area as the story unfolds, and the game backs that story with the actual content the real exam draws from: 1,000 official past exam questions (spanning the years the exam body has published them) with the developer's own detailed explanations, a CBT-format mock exam matching the real test's on-screen format, 428 flashcards covering wiring-diagram symbols and regulations with mnemonics and SVG diagrams, and 38 short explainer videos on frequently-tested topics. A built-in offline 'AI assistant' answers study questions, but by the developer's own description it does not generate text: it searches the developer's own pre-written, verified material for the relevant passage and shows it, running entirely on-device with no data sent anywhere. Developer and publisher are both credited simply as Tsumugi Games, and Steam's own developer search turns up only this title and its demo, nothing else. One honest note up front: at the time of writing this had only just gone up for sale, with essentially no review history yet, well short of the review count this site normally waits for. We're covering it anyway, as an early bet, on the strength of the concept itself (an actual national licensing exam's past questions built into a dating-sim-shaped study aid) and a clean, single-title developer record, not on any proven track record yet. It is a paid title (¥1,980, launch-discounted to ¥1,485), not free, with content descriptors completely empty, nothing sexual flagged at all. The store page carries its own AI Generated Content Disclosure, stating plainly that some of the illustration, music, voice, and text material involved AI in production, all reviewed and adjusted by the developer before being included; we're passing that disclosure on as-is rather than treating AI involvement itself as a mark against it. It supports Japanese only, and no Western outlet, AUTOMATON WEST included, has written about it, unsurprising for something this fresh.
Give it your first passDenko Love: Starting from Zero as an Electrician The origin of its own lineage
There is no earlier work this grows from. A search for a prior game that built a real national licensing exam's actual past questions into a dating-sim-shaped story of subject-teaching heroines turned up nothing: study aids gamify test prep constantly, and dating sims teach nothing in particular constantly, but the specific graft of a genuine exam body's past questions onto a heroine-per-subject narrative structure has no clear precedent we could find. So this is, at least as far as this search went, the point where the format begins rather than one it inherited.
