Uncut
Curated by taste and lineage

Don't recall who she was. Schedule, choice by choice, who she becomes.

A Japanese 2D raising simulation about a robot girl who has lost her memories and must build a life from scratch. Each turn you choose how she spends her time, going out, working, entering tournaments, and through those actions she grows and forms bonds with the humans and robots around her. Your choices, the dialogue you pick, and the results of her battles accumulate and branch the story into multiple endings, all aimed at winning the Robot Battle Championship. It is a raising sim with adventure and RPG elements. Made by Japan's doujin circle DeskClub Games. It supports English, yet it is Japan-centered and the wider West has barely found it.

02Who this is for (and who it is not)

For you

  • You love the Princess Maker loop of scheduling a girl's time over a fixed period and watching accumulated stats and choices slowly decide her future, branching into many endings
  • You want that core grafted onto an amnesiac robot's self-rediscovery: choose her actions turn by turn, bond with humans and robots, and let your choices, dialogue, and battle results pile up toward winning a Battle Championship across multiple endings
  • You want a Japanese doujin gem the wider West has barely noticed, Very Positive at 97 percent over 190 reviews, that already supports English

Not for you

  • You want fast action or pure reflex; the battles feed a raising loop and the heart of the game is scheduling, choosing, and accumulating, not twitch combat
  • You expect a big, already-popular Western title; this is a Japanese-led doujin work, paid at 1,900 yen, and still largely undiscovered abroad (about 18 percent of reviews are English)

Robot girl's dream -RobotBattleChampionship- Buried gem

A Japanese 2D raising simulation about a robot girl who has lost her memories and must build a life from scratch. Each turn you choose how she spends her time, going out, working, entering tournaments, and through those actions she grows and forms bonds with the humans and robots around her. Your choices, the dialogue options you pick, and the results of her battles accumulate and branch the story into multiple endings, all framed around her goal of winning the Robot Battle Championship. It is a raising sim with adventure and RPG elements: schedule, choose, fight, and watch a person take shape out of a blank slate. Made by the Japanese doujin circle DeskClub Games (creator Uwagaki), whose earlier RPG using the VOICEROID Kotonoha sisters earned a 95 percent on Steam, and released January 2025. Very Positive at 190 reviews and 97 percent. It already supports English and Japanese (about 18 percent of reviews are English), yet it is Japan-centered and the wider West has not broadly found it. At 1,900 yen it is a paid, fully released game.

Princess Maker 2 Refine The origin

The origin of this taste: Princess Maker 2, Gainax, 1993 (the Refine edition is the one on Steam), the defining entry of the Princess Maker series begun in 1991. You become a young daughter's foster father and spend years scheduling her education, work, and lessons, watching parameters accumulate until those choices branch into one of many endings, from queen to merchant to ordinary townsfolk. It crystallized the raising-sim loop of scheduling a girl's time over a fixed period and letting accumulated stats and choices decide her future. Robot girl's dream is a clear heir to that idea: it hands you a girl to raise turn by turn through scheduled actions, and your choices and battle results pile up into branching endings, but it grafts that core onto an amnesiac robot's self-rediscovery aimed at a Battle Championship, making it its own creature rather than a clone.
